I just don’t get it.

Do we seriously think people don’t know food stamps exist?

Do we seriously think people won’t get food stamps due to the stigma of the name?
Hence renaming the program SNAP.

Here is a partial list of marketing materials in both English and Spanish brochures titled “Five Easy Steps To Snap Benefits,” “How To Get Food Help — A Consumer’s Guide to FNCS Programs,” “Ending Hunger Improving Nutrition Combating Obesity,” and posters with slogans like “Food Stamps Make America Stronger.”

Why are we trying to make people more reliant on others rather than less reliant?
